Persis moved to Arlington, Washington and co-founded the Frailey Mountain Clay Works in 1971, from California School of Arts and Crafts. She became sole proprietor in 1989. From 1991 to 2011 Persis taught art at Weston High School, and is now retired. She has since returned to full time status as ceramic artist! She sells her work primarily out of her studio, and in the past has shown pieces in galleries throughout the Pacific Northwest and the US.
